Biography
I qualified as a dentist in 1994 from the University of Athens, Greece. After completing my civic service in the Greek Air Force, I founded a private dental clinic in Athens, where I practiced for over 20 years. Throughout that time, I pursued extensive postgraduate training in Endodontics (root canal therapy), Periodontology, Cosmetic, and Restorative Dentistry.

In 2014, I expanded into Laser Dentistry, earning the Laser Safety Officer Certification from Aachen University, followed by a Fellowship in Dental Lasers from the University of Genova in 2017.

Since relocating to the UK in 2018, I’ve continued to embrace new challenges and learning opportunities, enriching both my clinical practice and patient care. In 2025, I completed my MSc in Advanced Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry from University of Siena, Italy. This, allowed me to further deepening my expertise in root canal therapy and evidence-based treatment planning. This advanced training allows me to deliver precision-driven care with a strong focus on long-term outcomes.

I’m a passionate advocate for clear and compassionate dentist–patient communication. I believe every patient deserves a thorough understanding of their treatment options, delivered with empathy, clarity, and respect.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling, and attending motorsport events.

what is endodontics?

Endodontics is a specialised area of dentistry focused on treating problems inside the tooth, particularly the pulp where the nerves and blood vessels are found. When this inner tissue becomes inflamed or infected, it can cause significant discomfort and, if left untreated, may lead to tooth loss.

Modern root canal treatment is far more comfortable than many people expect. Thanks to advances in dental techniques, technology and local anaesthesia, the procedure can often be completed with minimal discomfort and is comparable to having a routine filling.

The primary aim of treatment is to relieve pain, eliminate infection and save the natural tooth, avoiding the need for extraction wherever possible. Preserving your natural teeth is always our priority. A successfully treated tooth can continue to function normally for many years, allowing you to eat, speak and smile with confidence.

If you are experiencing persistent toothache, sensitivity to hot or cold, swelling around a tooth, or have been advised that you may need root canal treatment, our experienced team will be happy to assess your condition and discuss the most appropriate treatment options with you.

What happens during the treatment?

If you need a local anaesthetic, we will give it to you a few minutes before the procedure, to give it time to work. It may not be required if the tooth is completely dead.

We use a microscope to identify and create a hole in the top of your tooth and remove the dead or diseased pulp. We then clean out the root canals, this can take more than one visit. If more than one visit is required, we will put a temporary filling in your tooth to keep it sealed until you go back for the next stage of your treatment.

If a second visit is needed, we will remove the temporary filling and continue with the cleaning process. We then seal your tooth to prevent infection and further damage. If there is a risk that your tooth may become damaged or broken it may be suggested to have a crown fitted. This is an artificial cap that fits over your tooth and acts as ‘armour plating’ for the tooth.

Throughout your treatment, our priority is to ensure you remain comfortable and fully informed at every stage. Root canal treatment is a highly successful procedure that allows us to save teeth that might otherwise require extraction, helping you maintain your natural smile and long-term oral health.

Ongoing care and prevention

After a root canal treatment, it's important to take care of the treated tooth to prevent further infection or damage. It is important to ensure that the restoration post root canal treatment is stable to help avoid further infections.

Your dentist will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor the progress of your healing and ensure that the tooth remains stable and healthy.
