Biography
Hi I am George, welcome to my Wincanton Dental Practice.
I have dedicated my practice to provide high quality dentistry within a personal and caring environment and I have an excellent team to support me with this. In my practice I concentrate most of my time to provide dental implants and complex, advanced dental treatments. I have completed studies in this field in the world-renowned University of Gothenburg, Branemark Clinic in Sweden as well as other prestigious universities like the University in Bern, Switzerland, Tubingen and Frankfurt in Germany.
I have placed and restored well over 3,000 implants and I am experienced in advanced implant techniques, such as bone grafting and sinus grafts if needed. Over the past 10 years I have been receiving referrals from other dentists from several Practices across the south west of England.
I also act as a mentor for new dentist wishing to develop skills in implants and I am registered with both the ADI (Association of Dental Implantology) and ITI (International Team of Implantology) as a mentor.
My practice is also a training centre and I am a clinical tutor for the Ultimate Dental Implant year course, sponsored by the world renowned Nobel Biocare.
Whenever I get some free time from the practice I like to spend it up in the skies flying! Aviation is my out of work passion. I obtained my pilots licence 3 years ago and whenever I get a chance, I jump in my plane and fly above the clouds.

Biography
I qualified as a dentist in 1994 from the University of Athens, Greece. After completing my civic service in the Greek Air Force, I founded a private dental clinic in Athens, where I practiced for over 20 years. Throughout that time, I pursued extensive postgraduate training in Endodontics (root canal therapy), Periodontology, Cosmetic, and Restorative Dentistry.
In 2014, I expanded into Laser Dentistry, earning the Laser Safety Officer Certification from Aachen University, followed by a Fellowship in Dental Lasers from the University of Genova in 2017.
Since relocating to the UK in 2018, I’ve continued to embrace new challenges and learning opportunities, enriching both my clinical practice and patient care. In 2025, I completed my MSc in Advanced Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry from University of Siena, Italy. This, allowed me to further deepening my expertise in root canal therapy and evidence-based treatment planning. This advanced training allows me to deliver precision-driven care with a strong focus on long-term outcomes.
I’m a passionate advocate for clear and compassionate dentist–patient communication. I believe every patient deserves a thorough understanding of their treatment options, delivered with empathy, clarity, and respect.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling, and attending motorsport events.
