Nervous Patients... We Can Help

We understand that some people may suffer from dental anxiety but we don’t want it to get in the way of your oral health. We’re an experienced team of dental professionals, incredibly sympathetic to those who have a fear of the dentist. We’ve developed a number of ways to help you overcome your anxiety, from relaxation techniques to pain management.

An effective way to treat the most nervous of patients is sedation (injection). The drugs have a relaxing and calming effect but don’t prevent communication between dentist and patient so treatment can still be carried out easily. Weight, age and medical condition must be assessed before suitability for this kind of sedation is determined but this would all be discussed during the consultation with the dentist. Usually the patient would need to be referred to a specialist clinic for this treatment.

We make it our mission to ensure your experience of the dentist is a positive one. As you get to know and trust your dentist, hygienist and other members of the dental team at your practice, your fears will soon become a thing of the past!

If you’d like to know more about ways in which we can help you overcome your fear of the dentist, get in touch with our friendly team.

PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

“The wonderful Charles, the dentist I had an appointment with today, was exceptional. Not only did he perform a procedure, that a previous dentist had said I needed to be sedated and hospitalised for, he did so in a manner that relaxed me. I have utter trust that whatever dental needs, myself or my family have, Charles will handle with proficient expertise. I recommend this dentist without hesitation.”
